Add Water and Sugar-A Taste of Hearth Cooking

As you can see from this picture, the preparation of the receipt (recipe) "For preserving Strawberries" was part of my at home pandemic foodways experimentation.  To the juices of the strawberries squeezed through a cloth a half a pint of water and one pound of sugar was weighed and all put into a sauce pan.

The receipt (recipe) For preserving Strawberries was part of my pandemic experimental foodways and was prepared in my backyard.  To the juices from the quart of strawberries squeezed through a cloth, add half a pint of water and one pound of sugar.  The pound of sugar was weighed on my balance scales.
